No, SP didn't really say that, but NPR would blow her freakin' mind. Nocturnal Puddle Reflections is a 10-piece musical monster capable of rip your face off fits of sonic rage, remarkable gentleness, and full out musical pranksterism. I'm currently composing an hour long work for the ensemble that is going to be completely intense, very beautiful and full of surprises. We're gradually premiering movements of it, and you can expect the whole piece to be premiered sometime in 2009. One of my favourite pieces to play with the band is a gamepiece I've written based on the roles and personalities involved in a schoolyard rumble... needless to say, this band of amazing improvisers is a blast to watch and have bringing the music to life.
