I had the privilege of playing with drummer Ali Siadat when we both ended up on a gig with Canadian Idol finalist Carly Rae Jepsen. The man has the fattest quarter note I've ever felt. Ali and I were fighting to make time to play together, and our perseverence finally paid off when Stinkbutter was formed. Add keyboardist and master of funky sounds Laurence Santos, with whom I played in Space 9 and Funkshun, and we had ourselves a very sweet trio. However, I simply could not resist the opportunity to pair up Ali and bassist David Marion, who's groove is as deep as deep can be. This group is scary, man, really, really scary. Curl your nose up, it will.
