The Mingler is an all out noise/improv/metal/modernjazz trio who's identity was formed when Alvaro Rojas muttered the following statement: "But it's got to be HEAVY..." Bringing together three musicians who share a history of aggressive music making, bachelor of music degrees from the land of jazz academia, and the love of fearless improvising, The Mingler is a teeth gnashing blast of intensity that can crush your bones with stomping monstrosities, vaporize your conservatism with blazing recklessness, transport you to an upredictable land of sonic disconcertment, and remind you how good it feels to strap in and hold on. The band is currently compiling video footage that will be edited together to form some sort of commando DVD to be released in 2009.
