THE UNSUPERVISED

I formed The Unsupervised in 2005, and it has grown into one of Canada's toothiest modern jazz monsters.  It's current pet name is The Great White Shark of Canadian Jazz...   It's hungry, vengeful, playful, unpredictable and preposterously fun... It's adventure music, really, and audiences have been really stoked on the band.  I agree with them, we're taking the music to some really interesting places and I'm genuinely excited to see where we end up.  We've been regulars at the Vancouver International Jazz Festival since 2006, being nominated for the Galaxie Rising Star Award at the 2008 fest, and had a lineup around the block at The Roundhouse Perfmance Centre for the 2009 festival.  We'll be back at it for the 2010 fest and are excited to be hitting the road for a 9 city Canadian tour when the festival wraps up.  When we get back, we're gonna set up the mics and have at'er, with the new record scheduled to come out before our 2011 summer tour.
