I seem to be prone to spending hours and hours alone, working on music. I have also been labeled "quirky and creative" more than a few times in my life. These things, coupled with a well-timed prompt at music school and an early exposure and natural draw to "New Music", made the move toward composition a natural one. During an arranging class, a teacher I really respect was talking about how you should write, or in this case arrange, with the audience in mind. Then he said "but some people write for themselves" and pointed at me. I think he meant it as a compliment. Regardless, composition is a big piece of my musical pie and on these pages you will find modern classical music I have written, as well as jazz tunes, country tunes, improv pieces, and whatever else I get inspired to include.
